To strengthen the ICT department of our client, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (M/F).As Senior Business Analyst, you translate the business strategy into the change needed to realise the strategy. You are therefore an expert in both the business processes and the ICT application landscape and sit in a responsible bridge position between the Business Line Owners and ICT services.Their ICT department covers all IT services required to keep the airport running safely and efficiently 24/7.The Senior Business Analyst is accountable for translating strategic objectives into concrete initiatives and monitoring these initiatives. He/she is able to look for solutions that take into account the various stakeholders and cut across process, organisation, data and application layers.The focus in this role is mainly on "think" and on the reinvestment cycle of both business processes and ICT technology. The Senior Business Analyst helps determine the strategy for tackling the various projects within his/her domain.Besides the strategic translation into concrete initiatives, the Senior Business Analyst is also expected to take on typical business analysis tasks, in consultation with less experienced business analysts. This then involves gathering business, functional, non-functional and technical requirements, drafting specifications, writing and following up tests, facilitating the go-live and working on continuous improvements after solution delivery.The Senior Business Analyst acts as a key stakeholder and single point of contact in the end-to-end project life cycle of the process.What will you do?
  • Supporting business stakeholders at management level, in translating their needs into concrete initiatives
  • Monitoring the alignment between possible initiatives and the business architecture
  • Translating strategic business evolutions into concrete projects
  • Impact analysis on processes, organisation and applications and objectifying possible solution alternatives
  • Analysing the impact of phasing out ICT solutions on the business architecture
  • Translating business needs into high-level IT requirements that are further detailed by the functional analysts
  • Documentation for the benefit of end users (e.g. process descriptions, training material)
  • Taking responsibility for project management if the size of the project allows it to be taken on efficiently
  • Monitoring the translation of requirements into the technical solution
  • Supporting test teams in preparation for acceptance of new or changed ICT applications and solutions
  • Supporting the change managers, change agents and end users during deliveries
  • Supporting the drafting of SLAs/OLAs
  • Training the trainers in efficient use of procedures & systems and providing data for user manuals
  • The active post-go-live support by identifying possible further improvements
  • Building sufficient technical knowledge around the applications within your domain.
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture evolution
  • Supporting the business architecture team in propagating best-practices
  • Coaching of less experienced business analysts
  • Following ICT and business trends by attending seminars and trainings and gaining knowledge on new technological improvements, modern analysis techniques and evolution of the aviation industry
Who are you?You obtained a master’s degree or equivalent through experienceYou have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a business analyst with proven track record in complex environmentsYou have common ICT and business process analysis methods and in-depth knowledge of critical business processesYou can think along strategically and conceptually and see opportunitiesYou are strongly analytical, problem-solving and come up with proposals for improvementYou have solid knowledge of project managementYou are a good communicator who easily enters into dialogue with various stakeholdersYou are pragmatic, proactive, customer- and result-orientedYou are a motivating people managerYou have a good command of Dutch or French. You have a good passive knowledge of the second national language and a good knowledge of English
