  • Responsible for managing a portfolio of projects and services, coordinating with relevant parties and outreach to relevant stakeholders
  • Acts as reviewer of social media content on the above mentioned and other politically sensitive priorities of the European Commission
  • Leads problem resolution
  • Is involved in designing communication strategies for the central Commission social media channels
  • Participates in working groups and progress meetings relevant to the projects allocated
  • Works in close cooperation with both social media and the relevant spoke persons thematically in charge, on joint media and social media projects, under the coordination of the Team leader for political communication planning
  • Ensures liaison with various departments providing content, representations of the Commission in Member States, the corporate campaign team, disinformation sector, and the Spokesperson’s Service
  • Reports progress, risks and potential opportunities related to project delivery.
  • Assesses change requests and ensures follow-up (including meeting the deadlines set by the hierarchy).
  • Ensures and checks the project planning and timeline.
QualificationsIf you have
  • Experience in project coordination
  • Experience in stakeholder outreach, coordination and events
  • Excellent writing skills in English and another EU language
  • Negotiate partnerships with, and involvement of, stakeholders to help implement priority projects in line with the Commission’s communication strategies.
  • Coordinate and engage stakeholders and third parties (such as think tanks, academia, other European Institutions etc ) in line with the strategic and crisis communication priorities, on issues like the economic impact of the war, communication concerning Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, sanctions, the energy crisis, other external relations priorities.
  • Organisation of communication events and activities (conferences, seminars, workshops, round tables, expert panels, etc.);
  • At least (3 or 5) years of experience in the organisation of high level events and management of contracts and procurement procedures in large organisations, in particular in multi-cultural institutions (advantage if professional experience in EU institutions)
  • Media relations
  • Drafting notes, press points, briefings
  • Procurement and contract management for communication projects; monitor contract performance
  • Appreciated if background in coordinating communication products (integrated campaigns, videos, publications, infographics, visual elements, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge/understanding of EU affairs and priority topics of the European Commission
  • Advantage if a candidate has previous experience within the European Commission
  • Capacity to work under time constraints,
  • Adaptability
  • Good interpersonal skills and proactive approach
  • Problem-solving attitude and flexible team player
