Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Project Manager, as a subject matter authority, will independently oversee and lead the operational aspects of our ongoing projects, serving as liaison among project management and planning, project team and line management. We seek a multifaceted professional who will provide strategic vision, reviewing the project proposal to resolve time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing the project.

Key Accountabilities
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.
  • Drive results, proactively identify and resolve problems to completing project on time, in scope and to budget, and make the tough decisions.
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing and staffing.
  • Provide the project team leadership, organization and integration to deliver projects that meet the stated project objectives and success criteria.
  • Advise on organizing project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules and resolve resource requirements.
  • Ensure that the project produces the required products (result), to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.
  • Serve as knowledge resource/champion for accepted project management standards throughout Cargill.
  • Keep up with project management technology, trends and best practices and adhere to internal and external quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project to the gate review
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or computer science
  • Negotiation, facilitation, stakeholder management
  • Strategic thinking/problem solving skills
  • Proven team leadership / coaching / mentoring
  • Ability to build relationship at all levels and cross-function / enterprise
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
