Our partner, a medium-sized company active in the metal sector and at the forefront of innovation, is looking for its new Shipment and Supply Chain Manager.If you are looking for a varied function, with a lot of interaction with other departments, operational tasks and participate in the company’s strategy and growth, then this opportunity is for you!SUPPLY CHAIN (60%)
  • Participate in the definition of the supply chain strategy
  • Improve the stock, components and finished products levels as well as the order status and production/sale plan
  • Prepare forecasts to feed the cash flow plan and the S&OP
  • Gauge the performance and maximize constantly the internal processes
SHIPMENT MANAGEMENT (20%)
  • Ensure the operations management of shipments
  • Identify the appropriate means of transport in accordance with deadlines, costs, shipping conditions
PURCHASING MANAGEMENT (20%)
  • Implement the purchasing policy
  • Develop the buying strategy together with the executive board
  • Manage the negotiation with the suppliers
  • University degree
  • At least 3 years of experience
  • Excellent command of English and French. Dutch is a plus!
  • Knowledge of computer systems (MS OFFICE)
  • Good analytical skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent change management and project management skills
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain, Purchasing and Logistics processes and key performance indicators
  • Accountability and pro-activity
  • Organization, rigor to plan all logistics activity
  • Reactivity, practicality, anticipation to manage unforeseen events and delays
