PHD Belgium is looking for a Social Lead

PHD Media is a full-service planning & buying agency, part of Omnicom Media Group and located in Zaventem. To accompany our growth and strengthen our team we are looking for a Social Lead.

The Social Lead has a leading role on the Social Expertise at PHD and will also manage a portfolio of clients. You are responsible for developing your clients social media strategy alongside planning and executing best-in-class paid social campaigns across all relevant platforms.

As Lead, you’ll also have a supporting team of social experts to help manage the daily work, to feed their knowledge, mentor and train them. You will also work closely together with the business team to ensure that the social media strategy aligns with overall media and marketing goals.

You are equally the person who leads the conversations with the clients related to social media activities and performance marketing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead & develop solid paid social media strategies and recommendations across your own client portfolio
  • Mentor and guide a team of social media experts within your business cluster, optimize their knowledge, stimulate innovative solutions, and increase their learning curve.
  • Assist in the execution, optimization, and reporting of paid social efforts across all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Demonstrate a high degree of proficiency with handling performance-based clients and the demands this asks of campaign management and optimizations
  • Ability to write insightful reports that are clear for both clients and internal teams
  • Ability to write annual social media strategies and ad hoc campaign recommendations.
  • Technical understanding of social with the ability to trouble shoot issues where required
  • Comfortable with the Facebook pixel, event tracking and CAPI
  • eCommerce savvy, happy to work with product data feeds and social DCO when required
  • Able to work and prioritize within timelines, and effectively communicate in both verbal and written form

Requirements

  • 4 - 5 years of work experience in planning, executing and optimizing paid social marketing campaigns, ideally for larger brands.
  • Required competency in the following areas:
  • Good understanding of online marketing in general
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, time management skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with a proven passion for social
  • Analytical mindset. Strong problem-solving skills that balance quantitative and qualitative thinking
  • Proven team player who works well under pressure
  • Experience in Team Management is a plus
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • A ‘Can Do’ attitude
  • Business savvy
  • French or Dutch speaking with a very good level of English.
