Responsibilities

Department: Procurement DKV Belgium and ERGO Insurance

Reports directly to the Head of Procurement
  • Manage the entire portfolio of IT service purchases; including the following subcategories: SW & HW Development, Licensing, IT Consulting, Infrastructure Services, Hosting and Cloud Services, Telecommunications ...
  • Define, together with the IT area, the annual purchase plan for recurring IT services as well as for the projects planned annually.
  • Manage the company’s supplier panel by defining, by purchase subcategory, the criteria and requirements for the approval of suppliers in the different areas of need. Search for potential suppliers and development of current suppliers in different purchasing subcategories.
  • Carry out negotiations in a comprehensive and proactive manner., Understanding and attending to the needs of the internal client and define the commercial strategy with suppliers.
  • Manage and re-negotiate existing agreements.
  • Monitor the performance and compliance of suppliers to ensure the achievement of quality, delivery, service and cost objectives.
  • Participate, together with the Procurement Officer, in the preparation of the annual plan for DKV and in line with the Group Procurement standards.
  • In addition to IT purchases, the candidate will be required to manage other types of contracts of different kinds (Marketing, Facility, HR,)
  • Autonomously comply with the annual plan of the purchasing families assigned to it; ensuring that the global objectives of the Purchasing area are achieved.
  • Participate in keeping up to date of the Procurement procedures as well as keep their management indicators updated for the measurement of the activity (Procurement Success).
  • Perform "Make or Buy" or "ROI" analysis of Purchase projects.
Hard Skills

Requirements:
  • Higher Degree (Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, …)
  • A specific training in Purchasing will be valued
  • Experience of 5 years in the IT Purchasing area
  • Fluent in English with a good knowledge of Dutch and French
  • Knowledge of COUPA is a plus
Soft Skills
  • Conflict management skills, and high negotiation skills on all level of stakeholders
  • A high degree of practicality, being logical, having the capacity for synthesis and being methodical is essential.
  • Ability to correctly specify business needs and to draw up contracts (SLA, KPI, etc ...)
  • High degree of responsibility, flexibility and autonomy.
  • The ability to organize, plan and prioritize tasks is required based on the weight of the objectives pursued.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely specify procedures, analysis and indicators.
  • Very relational person and customer oriented
  • Very alert and creative to identify business opportunities and agility to achieve it
  • Proactive and decisive; able to plan their work to carry out several projects and tasks at the same time
  • Good predisposition to adapt to changing needs.
