Primary purpose of the role ofSupply Chain Optimization Manager:
The primary purpose of the role is to lead and take ownership of supply chain improvement activities in multiple LLP transformational pursuits. This will involve focusing on transport network optimisation initiatives, engaging with customers peer teams and developing compelling “solution fit” proposals. At the same time, will need to collate, present, track and report on Gainshare projects. The person will also act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the LLP Account team, sharing its expertise and acting as referent towards the LLP community. The role has key responsibilities for the design, costing and optimization for various supply chain aspects. You’ll be working in Mechelen.
Your job as aSupply Chain Optimization Manager:
- Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain by reviewing current flows, cost structure and processes
- Development and implementation of a continuous improvement & sustainability roadmap
- Various cost- and trend analyses and according supply chain visualizations
- Customer and stakeholder management & engagement across the business
- Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods
- Manage supply chain optimization projects from definition to implementation
- Definition of strategy and long-term project pipeline meeting contractual framework
- Reporting projects progress using corporate tools and measures

- Degree in/focus on Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering and /or Business Administration
- Ideally at least 5 years varied experience in improving supply chain cost structure, information and processes
- Actively seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain
- Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed
- Top-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes
- Professional communication skills are essential
- Affinity and intensive experience in data analytics - working in and maintaining databases using Power BI
- Ability to analyze complex cause & effect relationships and communicate results
- Eye-for-the-detail and ability to work against strict timelines
- Good written and spoken English is essential and other European languages desirable
