ASCO, part of Swiss group Montana Aerospace, began operations as a private subcontractor in 1954.

Montana Aerospace AG is a highly-vertically integrated manufacturer and supplier of system components and complex assemblies for the aerospace, e-mobility and energy sectors with worldwide engineering and manufacturing operations announced the signing of the acquisition of 100% of shares of the Asco Group on the 7th of September 2021.

Job Description:Plan, organize, coordinate, develop, support and control the talent management activities of Asco Industries NV in order to gain, maintain, retain and continuously develop the required talent to enhance the company’s capability in taking on business challenges and to help the company achieve the required business results in the short and long term.

Accountabilities

1. Development

Perform in close collaboration with management a gap analysis and assure a match between the existing and the required talent & competence pool in order to define overall and individual training and development needs and the programs to address them.

  • Discuss and review the employee performance and define together with the relevant managers the needs to develop and improve competences.
  • Assure integration of these needs in the training plan and follow up on the competence development.
  • Assure and improve training planning, implementation and registration.
  • Assure internal and external training capacity.
  • For external training activities, assure optimal price quality ratio.
  • Prepare the training budget and assure expenses respect budget.
  • Improve and keep up to date the competence management system.

2. Recruitment & Selection

End responsible for the recruiting and selection activities for white and blue collars within a restricted budget and time frame with the aim to attract and hire the right candidates (internal and external) in line with the business needs.

  • Build a network of potential internal candidates
  • Scan the market and choose the tools and service providers needed to find the best talents at optimal price quality ratio
  • Build partnerships with different recruitment offices, schools, training institutes for short term and long term inflow
  • Regular reporting to and communication with Senior Management on recruitment actions
  • Assure an efficient recruitment & selection process
  • Improve the selection and hiring tools
  • Conduct case by case recruitment activities
  • Prepare the recruitment budget and assure expenses respect budget

3. Succession and retention

Follow-up succession planning and improve retention

  • Regularly screen employee performance and development and assure -together with the relevant department heads and managers - that an adequate and up-to-date succession plan is in place.
  • Manage, execute and analyze (supported by the Senior Recruiter) the follow up meetings after 3 months in service and give feedback to the business.
  • Manage, execute and analyze (supported by the Senior Recruiter) eventual exit meetings and give feedback to the business.
  • Organize individual meetings to prevent people from leaving the company

4. HR Improvement Projects

Manage, introduce and implement different HR improvement projects in order to enable Asco to become and remain an employer of choice in the market.

  • Develop, analyze, implement and follow-up innovative ways of attracting, developing and retaining employees
  • Roll-out different HR tools for Talent Management for Asco Group

5. Business Partner

Support and guide the Management staff in people management aspects

  • Align with Management to detect and discuss the recruitment and talent development needs.
  • Ensure Management staff members have the necessary leadership competences to perform their work and if not, initiate improvement actions in this regard

Profile Know How and Experience

Education:University Level Degree or equal by experience

Languages:Languages: fluent in Dutch, French and English

Experience / Skills:

  • 5-10 years experience in different aspects of HR talent management
  • HR experience in an industrial environment is key
  • Management experience
  • Social, open and approachable person with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Fluent communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • High level of integrity
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good reporting skills
