Our client is looking for aTechnical Sales Manager – Polyurethanes Feedstock.

This role is to maximize the effectiveness of the European sales force, and will be responsible to manage the day-to-day sales activities and to act as a sparring partner for the General Manager.

This position will report to the GM Benelux.

Main Missions

  • To develop new clients for active fields and applications.
  • To manage current accounts (region : Benelux, France, Germany, Nordic countries). Travelling required (30% to 50%).
  • To generate new projects development.
  • To ensure achievement of sales targets, following budgets and margin structure.
  • To prepare yearly commercial budgets and monthly follow-up on the targets I terms of quantities and margins.

Core skills & Experience

Critical to the success in this work, the company considers the experience and intellectual flexibility of the candidate.

Education :

BA or Master level degree is preferable in one of the following areas: Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or Material Science, but not mandatory.

Hand-on experience:

3+ years’ experience in sales, business development or new products development in following applications and industries :

  • Polyurethane coatings
  • Waterborne polyurethane dispersions (PUD)
  • Polycarbonate Diols
  • Aliphatic Isocyanates and derivatives

Skills

  • Strong entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
  • Analytical mindset : understanding of financial metrics to be able to control his sales budget
  • Problem solving to meet deadlines and handling pressure
  • Strong analytical thinking, with technical interest
  • Strong communication, listening and relationship building skills
  • Languages :
    • English and Dutch (fluent in speaking & writing)
    • German and/or French would be a plus

Compensation:

- Gross Annual Salary : €50.000 - €70.000
