JOB DESCRIPTION

The Legrand Integrated Solutions Team has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Specialist to join the team in Sint-Niklaas. The ideal candidate will hold multiple responsibilities within the technical services department. Partnered with other technical support team members, this position shall act as primary point of contact for all product related support requests and general product questions for the Legrand group product lines. Specific responsibilities include answering telephone “hot line” and written or internet-based inquiries from customers regarding company products, analysing problems with non-functioning equipment to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action. Additionally, this position also requires development of advanced system applications for use on product installations.

QUALIFICATIONS

§ Minimum Bachelor’s degree in home automation, electricity, electronics, ICT or related technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience

§ 3 to 4 years of experience in the Home Automation and Hotel Room Management system field

§ Background in HVAC, Energy Conservation, Lighting, and Facilities Management.

§ BACnet communication experience – preferred

§ Knowledge of automation systems, electrical concepts and building operations - preferred.

§ Proficiency in English (Dutch or any other language is a plus)

§ Residency in Belgium but ready to travel

§ Self-motivated, result-oriented and a team player

§ Excellent organization skills and knowledge of MS Office

POSITION ATTRIBUTES

§ Assist the customer in understanding applicable products, components, and systems for Legrand Integrated Solutions products by means of phone, email and on-site (national and international) troubleshooting for a wide range of customers.

§ Active participation in Legrand Integrated Solutions product certification, driver development and webinar trainings.

§ Involvement in beta testing on behalf of Legrand Integrated Solutions new product release process

§ Ongoing creation and maintenance of product technical data sheets, documentation, and related technical documentation.

§ Perform other similar and related duties as required.

§ Work closely with other local Legrand Subsidiaries

§ Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust

§ Respect the Group procedures strictly and always behave in an ethical, fair, and professional manner

§ Knowledge of any programing languages is a plus

§ Occasional short-term international trips for onsite support
