Nous recherchons un technicien soudeur senior pour un projet important dans la région du centre.

Description

As senior welder, he is deputed to the execution of the following activities:

  • Rail cutting (torch & disk cutting), overall rail’s surface (grinding and pre-heating) and back-up support material’s preparation;
  • Rail welding using aluminothermic, stick electrode arc and/or flux-cored electrode arc welding;
  • Rail protection after welding (if needed), and surface grinding according to the requested tolerances;

As senior technician, he is deputed to the execution of the following activities:

  • Materials and track components’ handling and distribution inside the working area;
  • Use of all site machinery and vehicles (forklifts and booms pex);
  • Normal, air-pressure and heavy drilling;
  • Track components assembly (plates, clips, anchor bolts etc.);
  • Rail track installation (positioning and adjustment of all track components);
  • Floor scabbling and shuttering preparation and installation;
  • Grouting (cement-based and epoxy) preparation and execution;
  • Rail grinding;
  • Bolting.

Profil

Perfect Use Of The Following Tools

  • Stick electrode Arc welding machine;
  • Flux-cored wire electrode welding machine is an asset;
  • Aluminothermic machine is an asset;
  • Air-pressure and normal driller;
  • Heavy driller (steel and concrete);
  • Core driller
  • Cutting disk;
  • Cutting oxy-acetylene torch (or equivalent);
  • Grinder;
  • Dynamometric torque wrench;
  • Outlook & excel (as a minimum)
  • Fluent in English; Any other language being an asset
  • Mortar / epoxy mixer
  • Listening and adaptation ability
  • Organized, flexible, dynamic, proactive and self-ruling.
  • Able to drive a team of junior welders/technicians without any supervision & to work alone
  • Driving licence (B)
  • Certification to work at height
  • VCA
  • Welding certificate for the PA full penetration position, using stick electrodes, with at least 6 months remaining validity; (flux-cored wire electrode machines is an asset)
  • Welding certificate for the aluminothermic welding of rails (is an asset);
  • Driving allowance for all type of site machines (forklifts, booms, telescopic & scissor platforms) is an asset;
  • At least 5 years on site in the steel/railway industry, with the same active proven welding experience.
