Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the finance world? Robert Half is seeking a Treasury Accountant to be part of a Corporate Finance team for our client in Vilvoorde.

As a Treasury Accountant, You Will
  • Provide top-notch accounting support for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Handle regular reporting on Treasury’s entities and activities, aligning closely with the central accounting department.
  • Administer the treasury management system, e-banking applications, and other treasury systems.
  • Ensure compliance with controls, applying IFRS Treasury standards practically, and adjusting processes in SAP.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the highly automated Treasury IT environment. Drive projects for standardization and automation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on Treasury accounting, including hedge accounting and documentation.
  • Serve as the liaison for internal and external auditors on Treasury-specific accounting matters.
  • Collaborate as a business partner for potential new treasury structures and derivatives from an accounting perspective.
Qualifications We Seek For The Position In Vilvoorde
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business and Economics with financial accounting knowledge (treasury experience is a plus).
  • A financial professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with valuations of financial derivatives.
  • Proficiency in Treasury Process and Treasury Systems, including in-house banking and payment factories.
  • Strong accounting and IFRS knowledge in the treasury area, particularly in hedge accounting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
  • Fluent in English and one other native language.
  • Knowledge of the BELGIAN accounting principles
  • Strong analytical capabilities and IT proficiency.
  • Hands-on and practical approach, both within a team and independently.
