Freelance UX/UI Designer – Ghent, Belgium

We are seeking a talented Freelance UX/UI Designer to join our client for a long-term project in the energy sector. This role involves designing new features for an advanced Energy Management System (EMS), collaborating closely with their frontend development team, and working with a complex user interface to enhance usability and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for a complex energy management system.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to refine designs.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and user requirements.
  • Ensure consistency in UI elements and user interactions across the system.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably in B2B software applications.
  • Strong Figma skills and experience creating design systems.
  • Ability to handle complex user interfaces and translate data-heavy workflows into intuitive designs.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and experience working with development teams.
  • Knowledge of UX research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Energy sector experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.

Contract Details:

  • Location: Ghent, Belgium (2 days onsite per week, remote flexibility for the rest).
  • Start Date: Flexible.
  • Duration: Long-term freelance opportunity.
  • Languages: Dutch speaking is essential
