VIE - Sustainability Coordinator (H/F) - Septembre 2023

ABOUT THE JOB :

This 12 months V.I.E (renewable) in Sustainability team will start in August or September 2023, and will be located in Brussels (Belgium).

Context

As VIE Jr Sustainability Coordinator, you join the General Secretary team of Belgium. You support sustainability and operations teams for all our categories of products (Dairy and Plant-based products, Waters and Specialized Nutrition).

You report to the Sustainability Manager and will work in very close contact with the operations and supply chain teams.

In this role, you play a crucial role in the implementation of the strategy and action plan for all categories; as well as support the activities of the local agenda on One Planet One Health.

Your role

As Junior Sustainability Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the sustainability agenda within Danone Belgium for its different categories.

In particular, your responsibilities are:

Bring our strategy into live!

Contribute to the development and the implementation of the One Planet agenda for the Belgian market, in collaboration with the Sustainability Manager in the General Secretary department and the Operations Transformation team.

Data is the first step! Data management & reporting:

• On carbon :
• Monitoring, reporting and analysing Belux carbon footprint
• Being a source of ideas for carbon footprint reduction
• Being a carbon master helping to assess the impact of projects through the whole value chain on the carbon footprint
• Contribute to the B Corp improvement plans & certification and to internal sustainability reportings
• Be responsible of maintaining and updating our product database on environmental impact (carbon and beyond)

Spread the word! Communication and engagement:

• Be one of the champions of the sustainability agenda inside Danone Belgium contributing to engage all Danoners behind it (marketing, sales, operations, ….)
• Co-lead the internal engagement program on sustainability and help organizing events around it

Contribute to the transformation! Team support:

• Take part in transformational projects on circular economy
• Support operations teams on the implementation of carbon reduction roadmaps
• Analyse the environmental impact of innovation / renovation projects to formulate recommendations to the project teams
  

ABOUT YOU :

You hold a Master degree with an analytical approach (preference in Food Industry)

• It goes without saying that you are passionate about sustainable development!
• You are very analytical and have excellent communication skills and you combined it with a results-oriented mindset
• English mandatory, French or Dutch is a plus

Are you eligible for a V.I.E?

V.I.E is a type of contract linked to Business France (French public organism) allowing Europeans to work internationally for a designated company. This is a 6 to 24 months contract.

• You must be aged 18 to 28. You must have completed national service obligation.
• You must be a citizen of the European Economic Area.
• You must have never worked in the country in which you wish to do your V.I.E.
• You have never done a V.I.E before.

What are the contractual advantages of the V.I.E ?

• There are no taxes and charges on salary, as a V.I.E your social security is covered by April international.
• You will be granted with 2,5 days off per month.

• Your gratification is fixed according to the Business France grid.
• The cost of your back-and-forth flight or train tickets is covered.
