Position title: Warehouse Supervisor - DYMO

Location: Sint-Niklaas, BE

Reports to: Production & Warehouse Manager

Contract type: Permanent, full-time

Job summary

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will lead the warehouse team in all warehouse activities with a focus on maximizing utilization, labour and resources. This includes managing the flow of incoming and outgoing raw materials and finished goods as well as some administrative tasks. You will make sure that internal customers’ requirements are met and transactions are done in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

You will support DYMO plant improvement initiatives and goals, maintain 6S standards and H&S program.

You will have 3 direct reports and manage indirectly 8 employees.

Key responsibilities:

• Daily operations:
  • Makes sure all requirements and policies are being carried out from receipt to dispatch of goods
  • Uses SAP system and works closely with the administrator to make sure all warehouse activities are carried out in a timely manner and that proper follow-through is complete
  • Carries out audits / plans daily workload to meet operational requirements for warehouse / production areas
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities; initiates corrective actions and make necessary adjustments for inbound, outbound and warehouse processes to improve quality, efficiency, safety and service
• Team management
  • Manages, coaches and motivates the warehouse team and team leaders
  • Makes sure all leads are trained and are maintaining their training responsibilities to their team
  • Trains others on warehouse processes and practices, growing the team’s knowledge and skill levels for the future.
  • Monitors the company absence policy, inclusive lateness, sickness and unauthorized absences; carries out return to work interviews; monitors holidays to the required level as set out by the company
• Health & Safety
  • Implements, monitors and enforces the company’s health & safety policies
  • Executes safe work practices as the highest priority and achieves objectives for ergonomics, health and safety, and housekeeping
  • Reports on health & safety incidents, concerns and faulty equipment to the relevant persons
  • Reduces waste by identifying and improving value-added tasks and eliminating non-value added tasks
  • Regularly inspects warehouse and staff for safety issues, including safety audits, etc.
• Ensures all equipment is used and maintained in the correct manner
• Participates in several continuous improvement and operational excellence projects

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of experience in warehouse management
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
• Good command of MS Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of any ERP system (SAP preferred)
