Position Overview
This individual will work within the site supply chain org in Belgium and will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse personnels to support the warehouse & in- and outbound logistics activities including inventory management (physical movement, system record maintenance for GR/GI; shipping, receiving, freight, returns, and import/export filing in a timely and compliant manner.
Major Responsibilities
- Build and manage a warehouse team that supports the business requirements.
- Initial phase of this role will include hands-on execution as we expand the team.
- Accurately process inventory receipts ensuring correct matching to purchase orders, documentation of approvals, quality checks and adherence to policies.
- Oversee inventory management/control, ensuring inventory accuracy, warehouse management, and supporting functional areas.
- Support functional areas shipment needs both domestically and internationally – Inclusive of creation of import and export filing documents on behalf of Legend.
- Support the payment process by auditing inbound & outbound and services documentation for review and ensuring timely mailing of checks/reimbursement.
- Support the procurement process by maintaining accurate open purchase order listing, un-invoiced receipt amounts, and supplier documentation.
- Maintain paper and electronic records accurately and timely to support efficient response to auditors and other stakeholders.
- Provide timely responses to supplier and employee inquiries.
- Assist with reconciliation of supplier Purchase Orders and statements.
- Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, work instructions and training materials.
- Collaborate with accounting, suppliers and business stakeholders in support of on-going operational efficiency efforts.
- Resolve any receiving/picking/shipping/inventory complaint issues quickly and effectively.
- Perform account and inventory reconciliations as needed.
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting or Business
Experience:
5-10 years warehouse operation experience. Having worked in the similar industry is definitely a big advantage.

- Ability to work independently and successfully, prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, integrate cross-functional issues and balance competing priorities effectively. Must be able to manage shifting priorities to meet critical deadlines in a fast paced and dynamic, growing environment.
- Ability to build, grow and develop a team that will serve as business’s critical taskforce ensuring service level commitment is kept.
- Strength in communicating and working effectively with broad stakeholders in various scientific/technical/business disciplines.
- Very strong influencing capabilities with an ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and across different functions.
- Ability to promote a mindset of continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention.
- Strong analytical and data entry skills.
- Prior experience with Warehouse and Transportation operations.
- Prior people/team management experience, warehouse floor shifts planning and management experience.
- Technologically savvy with the ability to quickly adopt new systems and processes. Proficient in Excel, Word, and exposure to ERP and other financial accounting systems.
