Accountant - Brussels

Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently looking for an Accountant for a permanent position based in Brussels.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the Automotive sector.

As Accountantyou will be responsible for:

• Overseeing invoices and financial transactions to ensure that a correct and full processing of data can be guaranteed;
• Managing the In-house Bank sub ledger, including the reconciliation of ledger accounts, to ensure that the internal bank data and the corresponding ledger accounts are accurate at all times;
• Create, process and track outgoing invoices to ensure that customers pay on time;
• Preparing payments in due time and control expenses by processing, verifying and reconciling invoices, expense notes and other requests pre-authorized for payment to ensure that correct and timely payments can be made;
• Detecting and solve financial discrepancies by collecting, analyzing and reconciling account information to ensure reliable and accurate financial statements and overviews are provided;
• Preparing financial statements periodically based upon compiled and analyzed financial information, to ensure that accountancy legislation is respected and management is provided with correct data for decision-making purposes.

The required profile for theAccountantposition:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent;
• Working experience in Accounting in a corporate or bank environment;
• Good SAP knowledge;
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially excel;
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch;
• Sense for accuracy and numbers;
• Team player with an analytical mind and adequate interpersonal skills;
• Stress resistant
