For the expansion of our EMEA team, argenx is looking for a Brand Director, efgartigimod (myasthenia gravis, or MG) with flexible location within Europe.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The Brand Director EMEA for efgartigimod (MG), is responsible for marketing, sales and commercial excellence activities to achieve the organization’s commercial objectives, and includes launch planning, brand management, promotional strategy, and sales effectiveness in the launch of efgartigimod in MG. The role will focus on efgartigimod as a product and will play a critical role in the definition of the commercial go-to-market strategy for the launch of MG. This commercial leadership role will partner closely with affiliate sales & marketing teams, as well as marketing teams in the US and Japan, and cross-functional colleagues in medical affairs, market access and finance.
Your primary areas of focus are:
Brand Leadership
  • Serve as the EMEA Brand Director for efgartigimod (MG) with responsibility for sales, marketing and commercial strategies for the launch of efgartigimod in Europe
  • Shape the regional Sales & Marketing plans, accelerate growth of the business and support alignment of product business goals, working closely with affiliate teams
  • Assess marketing and sales opportunities through appropriate research
  • Prepare and oversee sales and marketing budget and regular sales forecast revisions
Commercial Excellence
  • Establish the argenx commercial excellence / go-to-market approach for Europe and ensure that sales efforts maximize returns on assets, while achieving the strategic, commercial and financial targets
  • Analyze sales performance and implement plans for improvement, as needed
  • Establish sales force effectiveness models for Europe
People Leadership
  • Build a strong EMEA brand team, ensuring strong collaboration across geographies and across functional areas
  • Collaborate closely with the Country Teams, including marketing and commercial plans, objectives, tactics and SFE
Compliance
  • Conduct business activities in compliance with ethics and legal requirements and aligned with all local codes of practice (ABPI, EFPIA, etc.)
Desired Skills and Experience:
Sales, Marketing and Commercial Excellence
  • You have a proven track record of success in previous roles, demonstrating continued progression throughout your career (high potential)
  • You have hands-on experience leading sales, marketing and / or commercial excellence activities for specialty therapeutics, preferably in the orphan drug space
  • You have proven business planning and financial management acumen, with a data-driven and analytical approach to building new businesses
  • You have 5-10 years of experience within the biopharmaceutical industry including operational and strategy roles.

  • You are a highly skilled, emotionally-intelligent individual with an ability to build strong relationships and partner across the organization to achieve the brand / company goals
