Business Analyst

To support our growth ambition, the Analytics & Engineering Practice is looking to attract junior and senior Business Analysts.

By joining our Public Sector team, you will have a strong focus on transactional process modernization and sound project delivery. What you’ll do

As Business Analyst you understand the big picture surrounding the solution to be developed, document the vague ideas into concrete requirements and act as a single point of contact for any clarifications regarding the project’s deliverables. You’ll apply industry and information technology expertise to support proposals, implementations, and new business development.

Analysis

• You work collaboratively with clients’ stakeholders to research and elicit, analyse, validate, and document business requirements, and to ensure that those requirements clearly reflect true business needs, correctly representing all stakeholders.
• You interact closely with the project team and the client to translate the business needs into technical solutions​
• You effectively manage client’s expectations
• You proactively identify and manage changes to requirements and risks
• You define the acceptance criteria for the app features​
• You facilitate user testing and prioritize user feedback​

Configuration

• You configure apps on the low code platform. This consists of workflow models, automated decisions, information models & various templates​
• You facilitate interactive client sessions​
• You work with the client to glue together the configuration and the customizations​
• You participate in training sessions with the users​

Testing

• You validate the solutions built by the project team on the low code platform​
• You help define the acceptance criteria for app features and write out the relevant test scenarios​
• You test whether specific features meet the requirements from the perspective of all key stakeholders of a digital service​
• You give clear and detailed (spoken & written) feedback in terms of functionality and UX​

Project

• Identify the involved stakeholders by either getting the stakeholders list from the initial stakeholders or conducting a study to analyze who all will be involved/affected by the project
• Understand and help the project manager create the project’s business case by making sure all the high-level requirements are listed in the project scope
• Provide delivery time-based estimates to the project management team for requirement deliverables

• You work with client and partners to identify transactional harmonization opportunities and set up the ideal case management workflow
• You strive to optimize the user experience by reducing effort and time needed to complete the process
• You search for common patterns to reduce the overall work and finetune our simplification approach
• You work with the rest of the team (product engineers, product owner, sales & marketing) to identify and define creative and innovative solutions for client challenges
• You always aim for clarity and simplification administrative processes by rethinking the functional and data flow
• You diagnose application issues and to decide what can be done with low code instead of traditional coding (80/20 rule)
• You are intuitive about how an idea can be turned to an actual working application using drag and drop visual environment
• You take ownership of your work and deliver top quality

Who you are

• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree within a business management or a more technical related field or equivalent through experience​
• Background in functional analysis and/or technical writing
• Strong affinity with or interest in web technologies
• A passion for IT with a first experience of getting familiar with modern methodologies such as: OO, UML, BPMN, Agile Development, Scrum, ideally also notions of CMMN & DMN or equivalent​
• Skilled, deliberate, and open communicator with excellent presentation skills
• Excellent researcher and analyst, with sharp problem-solving skills
• A pro-active and independent worker, but also a team player
• Cool and calm in a high-demanding environment
• Good communicator in English, French and Dutch. You feel comfortable in client workshops and are willing to take the lead in these workshops (over time)
