Voxbone (Now part of Bandwidth) Finance department partners with all business departments to achieve fast and sustainable growth and to deliver top class communication solutions to the market.
The Finance function is organized around 3 pillars: a Shared Services Centre, which performs all accounting entries, Financial Controlling, who guards over data quality and consistency, as well as statutory reporting, and Business Controlling, which converts data into information and knowledge to support all teams and help guide management.
Within the Business Controlling team of the Finance department, the primary mission of the Business Analyst is to become the technical bridge between Finance and our systems as well as to implement & prepare data modeling and automated dashboards for the business and finance departments by extracting, gathering and concatenating information coming from our different systems.
What You’ll Do
Data gathering, mining and analysis of:
- Big Data – millions of raw data
- Different database and programming types
- Querying internal and external databases
- Transforming data into the appropriate format (Excel, Access/SQL, Powerpoint…)
Utilize various data techniques to consolidate data from multiple sources
Automate reports and data extracts for both Finance and other departments
Responsible for developing and maintaining tools and models to support business and financial analysis
Proposing and implementing automated deviation warnings mechanism to ensure continuous monitoring
Knowledge management: constantly searching for new, relevant information and keeping the internal knowledge base up-to-date
Taking the initiative to formalize information flows where possible and appropriate
Assist with the yearly company Budgeting exercise and audit processes
ERP and BI responsibilities
- Ensure close cooperation with other departments to ensure accurate data representation in the system
- Key user on upcoming BI tool for operations & reporting
What You’ll Need
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
Technical knowledge:
Excel wizard: you dream about pivot tables and Excel formulas
SQL mastery: you can make magic with the queries
Experience with Big data, especially Elasticsearch / Kibana
Fluency in UML/BPMN
Excel macro’s and visual basic is a plus
MS Access is a plus
Jasper Reporting tool knowledge is a plus
Technical knowledge of finance processes (accounting, controlling, reporting…) is a plus
Conceptual understanding of ERP systems (Netsuite)

Fluent in EN, any other local language is a plus
