Function:

Business solutions can only have optimal effect if they comply with what the business really needs, now and in the future. That is where you, the business architect, come in. You design the services, processes and information flows and you are the bridge with the teams that will build the solution.

As a business architect, you help Colruyt Group’s business units to convert their strategy and requirements into an architecture in the field of services, processes and information. You do this for a concrete project milestone and within the framework of the enterprise architecture.

You can work for a business unit such as Colruyt Lowest Proces, Dreamland, Eoly or Collect&Go, or a supporting service such as HR, Finance or Logistics.

Apart from listening to the questions of your client, you also ask questions until you clearly understand the goal. Afterwards, you propose a number of alternative scenarios and their impact on the short and long term.

Together with the IT architect, you support the project manager when he organises project work. This means that you help him make the work packages and their interdependences more explicit and assess the resources required to realise the business solution.

Based on this architecture, you provide the project teams who will build the solution with a clear frame. You work together with IT architects and Solution Analysts. Up to the end of the project, you keep monitoring whether the result meets the client’s needs.

Your workplace will be in Mechelen or Halle.

Profile:

• Diploma and experience - You have a master’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience in repository-based tools and Archimate is an asset.
• Conceptual and creative - You do not get lost in details, but you can see the bigger picture. You can see connections long before other people do. You explore several creative alternatives to reach the best solution.
• Communication skills - You can listen and adapt to your stakeholders. You are able to explain complex problems in a simple way.
• Dare to give advice- You are not afraid to keep asking questions until you really grasp the essence of the problem. You imagine yourself in the client’s situation and you propose the best solution.
• Languages - You speak Dutch and English fluently: handy to consult with everyone, even your colleagues in India.
