Business Control and Reporting Officer Consultancy Role

Position Overview:As a Business Control and Reporting Officer with Keystone Solutions, you will play a key role in supporting our clients within the insurance sector. You will work as a Keystone Solutions consultant, embedded within client teams, focusing on enhancing their management accounting and reporting processes. Your Mission:You will join the Business Performance team, where you will be responsible for managing and improving the management accounting practices at client operations within the insurance industry. Your role will involve developing insightful reports for internal stakeholders and coordinating reporting cycles, ensuring they align with industry-specific regulations and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Reporting Cycles: Support and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles for insurance clients, ensuring reports are complete, accurate, and timely.
• Insurance Product Expertise: You will manage both individual and group insurance products, ensuring the accurate monthly and accounting closure of these products in line with BGAP and IFRS17 standards.
• Enhance Group Control Framework: Maintain and develop control frameworks for management reporting in insurance, ensuring alignment with the latest accounting standards and supporting internal processes such as press releases, MYB tables, and management reports.
• Participate in Transformation Projects: Assist clients in rolling out new tools such as Power BI for improved management reporting, and support the replacement of legacy systems for management accounting in insurance operations.
• Implement Reporting Standards: Track, analyze, and implement insurance-specific management reporting standards across the clients group, keeping manuals up to date and working closely with Performance Managers to ensure compliance.
• Process Improvement: Propose and implement improvements that streamline reporting and data accuracy in insurance-related processes.
• Data Management: Ensure high-quality data is generated, processed, and reported, adhering to the Groups Data Management Policy, with a focus on insurance industry requirements.
• Financial Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports and track claims, while working closely with the Risk team on cash flow analysis.
• Critical Analysis: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data, ensuring all variances are analyzed and presented to the financial director.
• Budget Forecasting: Prepare budgets and forecasts, and deliver presentations on results and future predictions.

Required Profile:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or insurance, with a deep understanding of insurance products.
• Education: Degree in Actuarial Science (a plus) or Economics.
• Tools Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Excel, with experience in SAS and VBA for logical validation. Familiarity with IFRS17 and BGAP is essential.
• Skills: Self-sufficient, inquisitive, and collaborative to work in a team environment and engage with key stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
