About Our Client

Our customer is active in parcels delivery services. The company is part of a group consisting of 17 companies.

They are now looking to set up their first Belgian entity in Willebroek to anticipate their fast growth!

One of the first positions to recruit is the Business Controller who can help build the whole structure.

Job Description

As this is a key position in the set-up of this Belgian entity, you will be under the responsibility of the General Manager of the subsidiary and the Group Controlling Director.

You will be in charge of all the financial follow-ups necessary to the management of the subsidiary.

In this capacity, you will have among other missions:

  • Operational reporting Monthly; Quarterly and Annual management reporting,
  • Budget control and variance analysis. Production of ad hoc analyses (including their implementation, for which you will benefit from the existing know-how of the HQ in France)
  • Monthly closing tasks - Monthly and annual closing operations in collaboration with the accounting departments that are based in the HQ in France - Validate significant provisions and the financial position in accordance with group rules
  • Control and analysis of financial and operational data
  • Budget elaboration + Budget revision via re-estimates
  • Be the point of contact with the statutory auditors.

More broadly, you will assist the Chief Executive Officer in the day-to-day management of the business and its growth.

The Successful Applicant

As Business Controller:

  • You have more than 5 years of experience in Business Controlling
  • Any experience in the transport, logistics or distribution sector is a real asset
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently; you have a good level of French
  • Knowledge of SAP and Power BI is a plus
  • You have a real hands-on mindset and act as a real business partner
  • You are passionate about finance, enjoy setting up structures, and you are able to work autonomously
  • You are dynamic and can demonstrate strong interpersonal / communication skills as you will be the company’s financial point of contact on the Belgian market
