You will join our Business Development, Marketing & Communication team as a (Senior) Business Development Advisor.

We are looking for a Business Development Advisor who will create plans for our business units and then implement them together with fellow (marketing & communication) specialists. You know better than anyone how we can best reach our (potential) clients and you are able to advise the business and management on this. Thinking and doing in one job.

You want to achieve maximum impact for the brand, the business and the success of our clients. You know how to use the right mix of existing and innovative marketing communication tools and do so with an integrated approach. You know what you’re talking about and have a proactive, service-oriented attitude.

This position requires persuasiveness and perseverance and it is very important that you are a trusted advisor for our business (development) advisors and partners and build long-term relationships.

Your responsibilities:

  • You contribute to the business development and marketing strategy across the various practice groups in Belgium and strategically advise lawyers of our different practices in the field of business development.
  • You execute go-to-market-strategies and identify new opportunities for business growth and brand building.
  • You are responsible for the production and coordination of pitches, presentations and proposals. You can successfully formulate and process the unique selling points of Loyens & Loeff and its practices. You monitor the aftercare process and register the outcome.
  • You identify cross-selling opportunities between practice groups and offices. You actively collaborate with the firmwide BDMC colleagues to share and leverage opportunities and best practices across the home markets of Loyens & Loeff.
  • You prepare the submissions for the legal guides in which the office participates, in order to achieve a good positioning (ranking) and profiling of the various expertise (practices) of the office.
  • You collect insights to develop relevant BD initiatives and a marketing database for track records and past deals.
  • You conduct market research and provide business intelligence reporting and assist in preparing and conducting client relationship reviews.
  • You remain informed and follow-up of trends on the Belgian legal and tax landscape and are alert for new developments, PR and media opportunities.
  • You develop initiatives for events such as client events, PR events, seminars, round tables, social events and think about the substantive program, help define the target groups and coordinate the further organization of these BD events in order to strengthen and promote the firm’s image.

Yourprofile:

  • You hold minimum a Bachelor’s degree or equivalence experience.
  • You have minimum 5 years or relevant experience with a strong preference for experience at a professional service provider.
  • You have a perfect command of Dutch or French, with an excellent level in English.
  • You work proactively and autonomously; you take initiative, and you are results driven.
  • You work in a structured and organized manner and you are known for your accuracy, precision, and completeness.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset. Your social skills allow you to easily build a network and to connect and switch smoothly between stakeholders on different levels.
  • You have excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • You have advanced project management skills. Your self-staring ability allows you to get things done.
