Become part of a growth story driven by transformations in the Entertainment industry.As part of the IX business unit, the Barco XCITE team is developing unique and innovative visual experiences that are custom-built for our customers. The team has > 20 experience in designing and manufacturing display solutions that help our customers making better decision or creating ‘wow’ moments for our customers.As a Solution Advisor Your Mission Is Two-fold- to identify and drive large project opportunities worldwide by establishing contacts with end-users (e.g., Porsche, Google, Amazon, Apple, EXPO 2025, ...) and consultants and working together with local sales teams and partners
- ensure customer success by working closely together with a team of in-house technical experts that – in close collaboration with the system integrator – shape and deploy the solutions offering for these large opportunities
- Establish high-quality contacts with end-users for large immersive installations
- Understand what experiences the end-user wants to create
- Be a sparring partner on how technology can help realize the experience (possibly in collaboration with assigned AV consultants)
- Show expertise by highlighting risks the end-user may not think of (technology risk, integration risk, service risk)
- Identify new leads and opportunities with those end-users
- Engage with the end-user when sales identifies new leads through their partners
- Takes ownership of engaging with clients, consultants and large integrators to position Barco’s solutions for their projects. You will collaborate globally with Barco sales colleagues and each Regional Sales Director.
- Create focus. Map the right market segments, the end-users and companies involved
- Represent our products and solutions with the support of our team of solution architects
- You align with the in-house experts and product and engineering team to align the offering in line with customer requirements
- You will monitor technology and market factors and provide market intelligence to product management and segment marketing
- Identify possible System Integrator partners / consultants for the end-user to work with
- Collaborate with the sales representative to involve the right partners and win the deal
- You will identify showstoppers to potential opportunities and report back
- You will collaborate on developing and negotiating proposals, sales quotations, and commercial agreements. You will thereby be helped by the bid manager and solution architects and other stakeholders within Barco.
- You have a minimum Degree (Business, Marketing, Engineering) with strong on-the-job experience
- Have 5+ years’ experience in Sales / Business Development Representative roles, or customer-facing role (Sales, Consulting, Customer Success) and you’re passionate about sales
- Ability to manage influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building
- Strong passion for revenue and growth
- Understands Solution and Value Selling, “Selling to the customer ‘needs’”. You are able to articulate the benefits of the products and solutions to different levels
- Passionate about understanding and solving prospects’ problems
- A great attitude and ability to collaborate in a worldwide team
- Business technical degree to understand the customer and interact with the tech team
- Have strong written & verbal communication skills
- Is highly self-motivated and is a real team player, willing to win together and help each other out.
- Is willing to travel extensively, worldwide
- Energized by working in an international and multi-cultural context
- Language skills: fluent in English, other languages (French, German, …) are an asset
