PHD Belgium is looking for a Business Manager

PHD Media is a full-service planning & buying agency, part of Omnicom Media Group and located in Zaventem. To accompany our growth and strengthen our team we are looking for a Business Manager.

The Business Manager reports to the Deputy Managing Director and works closely together with the (junior) account executives of his/her cluster.

The Business Manager is responsible for an optimal service delivery including online & offline media strategy, elaboration of tactical media plans in combination with the respective experts, follow-up on the implementation and maintaining a commercial relationship with a set of clients.

The Business Manager works independently and will be steering internal stake holders working on the same clients. The Business Leader will be available to give support in your daily work, in developing media strategies/media plans and will guide you on commercial topics.

The Business Manager can either work in our PHD offices, work from home within the agreed schedule or at the client’s office on specific days of the week, if required by the client.

Deliverables

1. Client Services

• Maintains and optimizes the relationship with appointed client portfolio.
• Acts as a SPOC with the client and coordinates internally on the execution of media plans, brief the experts on & offline, evaluates the received input and translate it into a commercial and acceptable form for clients.
• Develops and fosters marketing, communication and media strategies and solutions based on customer’s needs and consults client on all mentioned items.
• Develops agency point of views (POVs) on media opportunities
• Organizes and participates in client meetings, internally and at the client’s office or at the creative agency.
• Ensures the qualitative and quantitative output of all involved employees within the scope of the client portfolio
• Utilizes and understands proprietary and syndicated research tools used for planning and reporting purposes (you will be trained on this)
• Follows the developments in the industry & relevant market segments. Interest in innovation and specialised services are required for leveraging client challenges
• Maintains contact and facilitates optimal collaboration between external parties such as media sales houses, creative agencies, ….
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with other departments within PHD / OMG, such as A/V, OOH, buying, expertise teams …
• Is responsible for and monitors timely progress, optimal production and quality of output and operation.

2. Requirements

• First experience in media planning or a background in SEA, Social and/or Programmatic + extra = Team player & attention for detail
• Strong knowledge of the media landscape in online & offline media + extra = strong interest in technology & digital advancements.
• Awareness of latest market developments and trends in media, digital environments.
• Commercial attitude, strong social skills, assertive and problem solver
• Language: preference for a French or Dutch native, with good knowledge of English. At least a good understanding of the other Belgian language is required.
