As a Category Buyer you will be responsible to run a constructive and competitive sourcing process for NMI’s critical components, special materials, Tooling and packaging.

Responsibilities

  • Support suppliers scouting process in coordination with other areas like: R&D, Supply Chain and NMI.
  • Construct and expand potential suppliers data base in close coordination with SDEs
  • Give suppliers assertive and complete information in a timely manner during the RFQ process
  • Responsible to have internal systems like Power BI and SharePoint Up to date for all the information related to components, special materials, tooling and packaging.
  • Negotiate and closely monitor suppliers price evolution based on objective analysis: Cost breakdowns, Productivity, Raw materials cost, Manufacturing KPIs, etc.
  • Lead and coordinate nomination process according to NMI’s process. Presents and defends final suppliers considered to get Sourcing Committee Approval for nomination
  • Ensure a constructive and sustainable commercial relationship with nominated suppliers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or similar
  • More than 5 years on similar roles within the Automotive Industry, preferably in glass or exterior parts for OEMs
  • Business proficient in English, other languages are a Plus
  • Experience with Core Tools: DFMEA, PPAP, MSA
  • Flexible and open minded
