For our sites in Vreden (DE) and Tielt (BE) we are recruiting for the next possible date a Category Buyer (m/f/d).

Do you want indirect material categories such as packaging, utilities, MRO or others shaped by your own ideas? Whether in renewable energy, aerospace & automotive, electronics & semiconductor or many other industries: We are Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials. We make ambitious ideas possible.
  • You define and own the category strategies for indirect material groups such as MRO, packaging, utilities, IT infrastructure and/or similar areas.
  • You take over contract management, ensure transparency of all contracts, reviewing terms and validity frequently
  • You balance the supply base between economy of scale and supply risk mitigation
  • You also take ownership on the transactional day to day activities for your categories
  • You help the EMEA purchasing team to reduce transactional work with supporting various digitalization projects
  • You analyze the spend profile on quality, cost and delivery and ensure high data integrity in all MCAM purchasing systems
  • As part of several Business Line teams you will consult cross-functional teams on availability and pricing of certain products
  • You have a bachelor’s degree (of Arts / or Science) in a technical or business field, such as Business Administration, Economics, industrial engineering or comparable education
  • You should have at least 3 years’ experience in purchasing in an international environment, preferably in automotive, electronics or chemical
  • You have a very good knowledge in project management (planning and execution), E-sourcing platforms and MS Office
  • You should have a good balance between theoretical thinking and practical approach
  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • You should have very good written and verbal skills in English and German or Dutch (depending on the hiring site) - additional languages would be a plus
  • You have desire for challenges and working in a global network
  • You want to continue your career path over the next years in a stable team environment
