Job Description

The Channel Manager will be in charge of the following responsibilities :

  • Stimulating sales and growth in turnover, profit margin and market share by realizing the marketing concepts, plans and actions within the assigned sales channel
  • Optimizing the shopping experience (in-store), promotions and activations in order to influence the buying decisions of customers
  • Focusing on shopper insights & turn them into recommendations to influence purchase decisions
  • Developing vision and action plans for assigned sales channel, category and shop shelf vision for assigned segment
  • Making market, account and shopper analyses. Collecting, analyzing and translating them into vision and action plans
  • Executing the actions and plans regarding category management, promotions, POS materials, ...
  • Coordinating between involved stakeholders and facilitating communication
  • Maintaining and analyzing relevant information, reporting the state of affairs to the Marketing Manager
  • Strategic position but many projects also require operational skills
The Successful Applicant

  • At least 3 years experience in Marketing, including 2 years of Customer Marketing or Channel Management
  • Ideally relevant experience in similar sector or FMCG
  • Very good knowledge of French and Dutch and good understanding of English
  • Team player with interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in communicating with retailers
  • Strong analytical skills. Experience in Nielsen/GfK is a plus.
  • Knowledge of planograms
  • Strong but flexible personality, enthusiastic, stress-resistant
