The Challenge
  • Supervise the process of Bad debt recovery using the appropriate collection methods and controls the level of commercial losses.
  • Bad debts volume control and recovery of historical bad debts
  • Coaching and operational coordination of the team.
The Role
  • Monitor portfolio of bad debt receivables, incl. new bad debt cases, and manage bad debts decrease till targeted level
  • Prepare the bad debt case - collect delivery documents, invoice copies and other relevant documentation proving the amount of the debt
  • Analyse the bad debt case - check on any outstanding payments, disputes and account reconciliation differences not resolved, initiate resolution with internal departments whenever it is possible
  • Contact customer and conduct direct negotiations or negotiations involving Sales team to receive the bad debt payment, incl. sensitive cases and cases with high value
  • Calculate the business case of bad debt litigation via 3rd party agency or in court
  • Follow-up regularly with 3rd party agency and legal department on bad debts recovery actions, key due dates and monitor the payments received
  • Prepare the proposal to write-off the bad debts based on IFRS rules and in line with local tax / legal regulations
Who We’re Looking For
  • Higher studies in Business, Finance or Legal
  • Outstanding communication skills and presentation skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft office: Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Fluent Dutch/French.
