About the position

As a commercial tender engineer you will play a key role in the preparation and submission of our innovative proposals. You will have accountability for all technical, financial and commercial content, managing contributing resources to meet tight deadlines to develop a winning bid aligned with an agreed strategy.

Key responsibilities as a Commercial Tender Engineer at dotOcean

  • Take part in the acquisition process of dotOcean projects
  • Play a key role in the preparation and submission of tender proposals to our clients
  • Analyse tender documentation received from potential clients and work on method selection, cost calculations and risk assessments
  • Program the works together with our project manager
  • Liaise with subcontractors, partners and supporting departments
  • Reporting for internal and external approval purposes

Experience & skills we are looking for

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
  • Strong analytical thinker
  • Good communicator and fluent in English and Dutch (speaking, writing and reading). Proficiency in French is a plus
  • Passionate about the maritime and defence industry and all its stakeholders.

  • Ability to cope with strict deadlines
