European Schoolnet is looking for an enthusiastic colleague with communication and web editing skills to join our team. The successful candidate will plan and implement communication activities for the upcoming European platform for school education, and the Future Classroom Lab initiative and its related projects. The position offers a great opportunity to work in an international environment and closely with topics related to
teaching and learning in a digitalised world.
MAIN TASKS
  • Producing (collating, editing or drafting) online content for project websites and newsletters, including preparing relevant media assets (audio, video, infographics, animations).
  • Carrying out social media promotion & content preparation.
  • Contributing to strategic planning regarding communication (e.g. annual work programme and communication strategy), meetings and reporting.
  • Communication with related stakeholders and multipliers to disseminate content and build ties when appropriate, incl. preparing tailored communication materials (articles, promotional texts, visuals) when needed.
  • Ideation and creation of new promotional materials and updating existing ones, ensuring they meet style and usability guidelines.
  • Collecting and presenting statistical information on the impact of dissemination activities.
  • Providing technical support to live events.
  • Assisting with user support activities.
PROFILE AND SKILLS
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. communication, digital media, journalism, etc.).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience with
  • Social media tools.
  • Web editing and publishing (including basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, and web publishing tools).
  • Design and publishing software.
  • An excellent command of English, both spoken and written. Additional languages are an asset.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to learn fast and deliver quality results while respecting deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness and determination to overcome issues and seek solutions.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and intercultural skills to succeed in an international environment.
USEFUL INFORMATION
  • Duration: 12-month Limited Duration Contract (CDD) according to Belgian standard conditions. Full time (38 hours / week).
  • Starting date: As soon as possible.

  • Location: European Schoolnet, Rue de Treves, 61, Brussels, Belgium. The positionrequires living in Belgium.
