A company active in the banking sector is currently looking to hire a Compliance Officer specialist in Investment products to join their offices in Brussels.

The main responsibilities of the Compliance Officer will include:

  • Develop an expertise in order to provide appropriate advice to the firm on regulatory aspects of investments and deposits, MiFID, conflicts of interest and market abuse
  • Be the point of contact for the bank’s compliance team
  • Update compliance procedures and particularly the policy on prevention and conflict of interests’ management
  • Daily monitoring of compliance of investment related activities
  • Conduct the annual report to the FSMA
  • Contribute to the update of the Compliance Training Program
  • Follow the market abuse monitoring tool and report suspicious transactions to the FSMA if necessary
  • Carry out and coordinate periodic compliance checks in the control portal in the areas mentioned

Your profile:

  • You have a University degree or equivalent in economics, law, management or finance
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the banking sector
  • You are fluent in French and Dutch with good knowledge of English

  • You have excellent analytical skills, you are autonomous and rigorous
  • You are eager to learn, and you have a creative approach to work
  • You have knowledge of investment and deposit regulations, MiFID, conflicts of interest and market abuse
