To realize our ever-challenging objectives, we are looking for an experienced Construction Manager for a function based in Grimbergen.

In this role, you are assigned to large and complex projects in Belgium and Western Europe. You are responsible for the construction itself: your goal is a safe and timely execution, delivering the correct quality and within budget.

As Construction Manager, you work in close collaboration with the client and the Project Manager as well as with the construction team. You:

  • review the technical specifications, related risks and opportunities in the contract
  • manage the construction teams on site as well as the subcontractors
  • are an important stakeholder in the procurement and subcontracting process: construction works are executed by national and international subcontractors
  • accurately plan, organize, and control the execution of the works while avoiding scope creep and registering extra works with supportive documentation
  • propose adequate actions to recover any delay
  • take responsibility on monitoring extra works and their impact on planning and cost

Kwalificaties

Are we a match?

  • you have a master or bachelor’s in engineering; or equivalent
  • you have proven experience in construction activities in the field of electromechanics
  • you have proven knowledge of electromechanics, in particular piping & mechanical works
  • you have proven leadership skills
  • you have working knowledge MS Office
  • you are willing to work abroad (Western Europe) during the construction phase of the project with a fixed rotation schedule
  • you have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), working knowledge of English, Dutch and possibly French or German
