Country Brand Lead – Internal Medicine

Job Summary

The Country Brand Lead will be responsible for

  • the launch and commercialisation of a new breakthrough medicine within the treatment of migraine
  • designing and implementing the best-in-class brand strategy
  • developing multichannel and patient focused initiatives to help the 1 million patients in BeLux suffering from migraine
  • You will become the market expert with full understanding of the environment, competition and customer needs and use these insights to shape your strategy & tactics to have a successful launch. The strategy and tactics are developed in collaboration with the in-country brand cross-functional team that you will lead and coordinate as well as with the Global brand teams.
  • You will be responsible for the development and flawless execution of the marketing plans, proper financial forecasting and control of the allocated marketing budget.
  • This role is an important role within the Pfizer Internal Medicine division as this role will contribute to the launch of one of the many breakthrough medicines Pfizer has in its pipeline.

Role Responsibilities

Strategy development and execution to maximize the patient impact :

  • Develop a country launch plan for the breakthrough medicine in collaboration with several functions as Medical Affairs, Health & Value, Digital, Regulatory Affairs, Supply, and Finance.
  • Develop strategic planning and forecasting through analysis of the macro environment, key opinion leader engagement, customer and patient insights and market dynamics
  • Drive development of multi-channel marketing driven promotional & non-promotional campaigns/programs to deliver the ultimate customer experience and patient impact
  • Collaborate with customer facing team to ensure implementation of agreed brand strategy & tactics.
  • Support acceleration of new capabilities, including digital and multichannel marketing.

Leadership :

  • Lead cross-functional brand team, including coordinating of activities of the team, in order to achieve success.
  • Facilitate open discussion and debate amongst stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through partnering.
  • Able to take ownership and drive projects from conceptualization to implementation.

Marketing and Market knowledge:

  • Keep up to date with marketing techniques and channels (incl. digital marketing)
  • Active monitoring of developments in the healthcare environment, trends, competitor activities, customer- and patient-insights
  • Maximize the impact of customer/patient insights into the marketing strategy
  • Focus on both long-term growth and immediate or short-term opportunities

Financial Planning:

  • Develop a launch forecast to aid financial planning
  • Accountable for the planning, spending & controlling of allocated marketing budget

This is an individual contributor role.

Location: Brussels, La Plaine. This position is not eligible to relocation.

Your skills and experience

  • Educated in (digital) marketing/communication or similar domain
  • Strong passion for marketing and health
  • 5+ years experience in marketing
  • Experience with launching a new medicine is a plus
  • Fast learner and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience or capability of managing revenues and costs
  • Good track record of working collaboratively with others across functions
  • Experience or capability to interact with external customers & stakeholders and acting upon customer insights
  • Strategic thinking to understand business needs and translate them into clearly defined actions
  • Role model of Pfizer values, standards of working and compliance
  • Fluent in Dutch, French and English
