Job Overview

Direct, supervise and oversee the project management and project management support function at Connected Devices to ensure all project(s) or multi-project programs are managed to the Sponsor’s satisfaction, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget. Has strategic decision-making responsibility for the project/program and for the project management function at Connected Devices. Ensure that all project work is completed in accordance with SOPs, policies and practices. Act as key management representative for the Connected Devices business globally.

Essential Functions
  • Manage and negotiate the scope of work, objectives, timelines, quality of deliverables, and all other project management activities for the project(s) or program.
  • Serve as senior company representative/ contact point of escalation with Sponsor to ensure appropriate communication channels are maintained and reporting schedules adhered to. Represent the Connected Devices operations as a senior representative at customer meetings on operational fronts, participate in bid defense presentations in partnership with business development and project management staff; provide input on scope and budget development;
  • Authorize and approve project budgets and scope of work within the defined approval scope as outlined by the Connected Devices Business Head. Direct the management of project budget(s) to meet financial and company goals (realization targets); proactively ensure adherence to change control processes.
  • Ensure that project plans are developed for all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise maintenance of project management information and tracking systems.
  • Evaluate probability of risks and their impact, develop and implement quality and risk management plans for minimizing impact on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Continually review and ensure adequate resources are available to meet project deliverables and milestones across all Connected Devices projects and programs.
  • Direct and implement continuous improvement processes for project management function within Connected Devices.
  • Participate in proposal and budget development and sales/proposal presentations, evaluate feasibility of potential programs and impact on company operations and goals; negotiate and make decisions on behalf of the organisation.
  • Serve as a project management liaison with other groups within IQVIA.
  • Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance and guiding professional development; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent Life sciences or related discipline Req
  • 12 years of experience including 4 or more years of project management or related experience in a key CRO/Pharmaceutical/healthcare operational function e.g., data management, clinical operations, laboratory, pre-clinical Req
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Good team leadership skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
