In order to support our business, we are looking for a Director of Marketing & Sales, EMA

Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing and Sales has responsibility for developing and implementing the marketing and sales strategies to drive the growth of Consumer Solutions, including the Spyder and ColorReader product lines.

This position will develop and implement the digital marketing and product launch strategies through a growing network of e-commerce marketplace partners, as well as have full responsibility for leading a team of sales, support, and marketing executives throughout the EMA region.

Growth and execution will be the main drivers for this leader through existing product sales expansion and new product introductions.

Responsibilities:

This role will perform, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an e-commerce-based digital marketing and sales strategies and new product launches for innovative consumer products
  • Define and update the overall strategy and 5-year plan for the Consumer Solutions group in EMA.
  • Partner with and develop strategies alongside industry partners in PR, Marketing and Advertising agencies to drive overall marketing communications and advertising plans.
  • Drive execution of existing product upgrades and refreshes as defined by the product roadmap in coordination with other functional groups and third-party partners (i.e., Project Management, R&D, Pilot and Operations).
  • Develop marketing communication strategy including messaging and creative to drive sales growth for new and existing products. Provide guidance to and approval of regional marketing plans. Responsible for Consumer Solutions marketing budget – both corporate and regional. Establish and track metrics that ensure that the overall marketing strategy and tactics are effective.
  • Develop effective sales and channel strategies across multiple customers and consumer markets including e-commerce marketplaces and regional resellers/distributors
  • Develop competitive intelligence regarding sales, products, and strategies for the targeted segment - Perform market research to validate market requirements, size, and new opportunities
  • Provide comprehensive monthly reporting of initiatives vs. quarterly and annual goals and appropriate action plans to meet and exceed deliverables
  • Develop a commercial strategy and annual sales plan for the EMA market that meets and exceeds company sales goals and profitability objectives
  • Responsible for the recruitment, training, performance management and development of EMA Sales & Support organization (own employees and agents)
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Marketing & Sales Management roles in Consumer Products
  • Fluent in English and an effective communicator both to direct reports and executive team members
  • Extensive experience in the e-commerce-based consumer products sales and marketing
  • Both B2B and B2C sales and marketing experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce logistics and optimization
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals
  • Digital Marketing & advertising knowledge and experience
  • Proven ability to recruit and motivate a world-class team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop & implement a successful growth strategy
