To support this growth moving forward across the EMEA region we are now recruiting the new position of Electrical Installations Leader (EMEA).

Reporting to the Senior Director Installations EMEA the role is responsible for setting-up, leading, and managing all electrical installations in execution within EMEA.

The Group Leader will tailor, develop, and implement the strategy and policy for EMEA Installations with respect to electrical installation in a manner that is aligned and closely interacts with the wider EMEA Operations Strategy (Project management, Engineering, Procurement, & Installation).

The GLE will establish strategic goals for the electrical and pre-commissioning discipline by gathering pertinent business, financial, customer service, and operational data to build compelling business cases for review and approval. Define ‘stretch’ objectives for the electrical team identifying trends and options to reactively, and proactively, improve project outcomes across EMEA. Establish a EMEA electrical installation and pre-commissioning knowledge centre to cross functionally support the entire EMEA strategic intent driving change and upscaling the maturity of Dematic’s electrical installation capability in execution.

Accountabilities (max. 8 accountabilities)
  • Develop, implement and maintain a cost-effective and appropriate operating model for electrical installation and pre-commissioning in a time pressured EMEA environment.
  • Build an industry leading electrical installation team of (senior) supervisors and pre-commissioning engineers that positively and proactively collaborate cross functionally across EMEA matrixed organisation to deliver exceptional value and dissolve siloes.
  • Establish a EMEA electrical installation and pre-commissioning COE for the retention, sharing and refinement of specialist knowledge.
  • Offer enhancements to the installation process of electrical installation in execution to reduce the impact of non-conformance costs and the introduction of errors.
  • Hire, retain, and manage a team of efficient and high-quality employees, ensuring all are trained, effective, and adhere to Dematic policies and procedures and other statutory requirements.
  • Establish credibility to repeatedly deliver large scale multi- site electrical installations across EMEA engaging multi-cultural teams across market boundaries to deliver optimal outcomes.
  • Control a functional electrical and pre-commissioning budget to ensure that training, talent acquisition, specialist equipment, and headcount are successfully balanced offering a positive contribution to the P&L.
  • Develop durable mutually rewarding relationships with senior leadership members across functions, team members, clients and the market to enhance the profitability in electrical installations across EMEA.

Tasks and Qualifications:

The successful candidate should hold strong commercial acumen for value engineering electrical installations associated with material handling systems and working closely with the Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Global Accounts teams offer the capability to expand both the customer base Dematic serves and alternatively the 3rd Party Supply chain that partners with Dematic to deliver industry leading solutions.

The Group Leader Electrical EMEA role requires a highly motivated credible leader, with extensive experience (10+ years) in leading large multi-site installations, with the proven ability to retain and attract the highest calibre of talent in EMEA.

The role has a senior leadership line management dimension which requires developing electrical supervisors and pre-commissioning engineers and supervisors to offer a step change in the operational capability across EMEA, whilst also collaborating effectively as a force multiplier supporting with relevant tasks alongside EMEA Engineering, Sales, and Procurement.
