Role Overview: As an Electromechanical Industrial Engineer, you’ll become an integral part of our team, reporting to the Engineering Manager and Project Lead. You’ll be responsible for various activities related to electrical, instrumentation, and control systems (E&IC), including:

Engineering

• Design P&IDs and oversee drafters for AutoCAD P&ID creation for different fluids (fuels, lubrication oil, cooling water, compressed air/instrumentation, intake/exhaust air, ventilation/HVAC, fire protection, effluents, etc.).
• Design functional descriptions in collaboration with the project’s E&IC engineer.
• Design, size, and specify electromechanical installations/equipment such as generators, pump modules, separators (centrifuges and decanters), tanks, ventilation systems, heat exchangers/air coolers/boilers, chimneys, compressors, silencers, filters, fire detection/protection systems, etc.
• Define, size, and specify ducting/piping/tubing (including electrical tracing or steam/overheated water tracing) and associated accessories (valves, dampers, check valves, filters, compensators, etc.).
• Define, size, and specify instrumentation.
• Guide and supervise drafters/subcontractors for mechanical plans (including civil engineering and structures) and ducting/piping/tubing using AutoCAD Plant3D.
• Compile construction files for handover to the end client.
  

Purchasing / Supplier Monitoring

• Request quotations, perform technical-commercial analyses, negotiate and place orders under the supervision of the project lead.
• Follow suppliers from A to Z, including factory acceptance testing (FAT), for all the aforementioned scope.
  

Assembly And Commissioning

• Prepare mechanical assembly and commissioning manuals, define required handling equipment and tools.
• Provide first-line support to mechanical assembly and commissioning supervisors for technical issues, whether remotely or on-site when necessary.
• Manage as-built documentation.
  

Proposals

• Analyze tender specifications from clients.
• Develop technical-commercial proposals for electromechanical project scope, ensuring client satisfaction, functionality, and performance while optimizing cost.
• Assist in the mechanical part of technical-commercial proposals under the guidance of the Technical Director.
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Master’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of proven experience in a similar role for large-scale multidisciplinary industrial projects, preferably with international exposure.
• Solid understanding of industrial processes (P&IDs, functional analyses, etc.).
• Technical expertise in electromechanical industrial equipment, ducting/piping/tubing, and instrumentation.
• General understanding of civil engineering and metal structures.
• Basic understanding of interfaces with electrical (power) and control systems.
• On-site technical experience (for integration into studies + technical support during assembly and commissioning).
• Team player with autonomy, open-mindedness, and proactive approach.
• Willingness to travel for short missions abroad to oversee suppliers (FAT in Europe/Asia) and projects (Africa).
  

Languages And Software

• Fluent in French (native) and proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Software: Windows, MS Office, MS Project.
• CAD (basic knowledge): AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD P&ID, Inventor (considered a plus).
