Energy/Commodity Trading Business Consultants to Senior Managers

Award winning, commodity trading business consultancy seeks 3 x energy trading / commodity trading management consultants (Consultant through to Senior Manager grade) to join their Central London Global HQ.

You will be part of an Energy and Commodity Trading consulting team working alongside other leading Trading and Risk, technology, data, and transformation specialists on project engagements. This will include the assessment, selection, design and delivery of new trading, risk and energy management related technologies. Clients will range from independent energy and commodity traders, through to Generators, integrated Energy Utilities, and International Oil and Gas companies.

Recognised as the market leader in Northern Europe for energy / commodity trading advisory consulting, you’ll work with an outstanding team of like-minded, high calibre energy trading professionals. My client has won many awards over the last 5 years in the UK and in other locations globally (Europe, US, Singapore, Sydney, Dubai etc) where they have offices. Salary: 45,000 - 95,000 basic + bonus + benefits

Key Skills & Experience Sought

This is very much a career opportunity for someone possibly working for another tier one consultancy in the UK or Europe, an IT consultancy or ETRM software house looking to move into a tier one consultancy, or someone working in industry for a trading house wanting to make the transition into management consulting. Previous client facing / consulting experience is highly beneficial though, especially coming from a rival tier one consultancy especially at Manager and Senior Manager grade.

You’ll need some significant commercial experience gained working in one or more of these areas within energy / commodity trading:
  • Business and IT transformation and change in trading environments
  • Trading and Risk IT strategy and architecture
  • Data strategy, architecture and management
  • Agile delivery in trading environments
  • Data driven trading (automated trading, algorithmic trading)
  • E/CTRM design and delivery
