Purpose:
Sylvamo’s Enterprise Content Management organization is charged with designing, building, implementing and sustaining enterprise content management solutions. The Enterprise Content Architect is responsible for positioning SharePoint, FileNet and web-based content technologies to efficiently and effectively meet Sylvamo’s current and future needs.
The Enterprise Content Architect works through systems, influences other teams, and relies heavily on communication and problem-solving skills, innovation management, and creativity to guide Business and Process Information Managers, end-users, and support and development teams to effectively implement and use the underlying technologies.

Key Accountabilities:
Provides IT architectural vision, planning, and technical leadership for existing and new technologies that leverage SharePoint, FileNet, and web-based content technologies
  • Participates as a subject matter expert on enterprise-level system upgrades and projects; manages progress toward required technical deliverables to assure overall project success
  • Serves as a liaison between functional areas and IT support and development teams to ensure that data related business requirements and rules for quality, security and protections are clearly defined, communicated and met
  • Effectively elicits information and viewpoints from a variety of IT partners to help plan, design, and implement platform and application standards
  • Evaluates third-party technologies that augment core services
  • Leads or interacts with various functional and/or technical governance teams
Works collaboratively to develop, implement, and monitor processes and programming standards across all impacted IT areas
  • Responsible for establishing standards and processes to meet customer demand, adhere to SLA’s, measure system performance and the maintaining of system configuration SharePoint, FileNet and other content systems
  • Defines landscape governance standards and ensures all development and support teams adhere to those standards
  • Develop new services and standards for emerging content management technologies within Microsoft 365
Demonstrates exceptional skills at mentoring and developing technical and non-technical resources for supported technologies
  • Identifies corporate knowledge gaps for existing and emerging tools
  • Accountable for implementing all associated educational courses
  • Develops and implements technical training plans and user training through various distribution channels and platforms, including vendor-hosted training sessions, team training, business consultations, user group meetings, and learning management courses
Collaborates with IT Sr Manager to define, implement and track TSA exit strategy for supported technologies
  • Help develop plans to migrate, eliminate or absorb supported technologies covered under the TSA
  • Help evaluate possible managed service providers for all supported technologies
  • Execute and track progress of established strategy to achieve TSA exit by the targeted end date

  • Aligning conflicting and complimentary vendor and IT strategies to business expectations

  • Consulting on multi-year, highly complex enterprise projects led by different businesses or staff groups
  • Ensuring business opportunities and functional area concerns are effectively met and addressed
The work itself, e.g., problems, opportunities, change:
  • Defining technical release and change management standards for new technologies
  • Developing technical, power-user and end-user training material for new and complex services
  • Establishing and communicating process and technology standards across a global user base
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for having an ongoing dialogue with Global IT business partners regarding their strategic needs and the potential solutions the platforms could provide
  • Responsible for successful acquisition and/or divestiture of enterprise content management environments, sites, and applications
  • Accountable for all technical and non-technical training, delivered to IP employees in all geographic regions where IP has operations
  • Responsible for successful global implementation of next-generation enterprise content management technologies
  • Responsible for working with staff groups to comply with any legal or human resource mandates and information security requirements
  • Implements content management usage guidelines, roadmaps, governance documents, as well as infrastructure, operational, and administration best practices
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Requires high level of interaction with all businesses and staff groups
  • Facilitates and leads meaningful meetings with large, cross-functional teams
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision or direction
  • Highly skilled in communications, verbal and written
  • Influences others outside of team in a matrixed organization
  • Working knowledge of enterprise application systems leveraging business processes and forms, system integrations, workflows, business intelligence, collaboration, enterprise content management, search, social, and web content management
  • Working knowledge across a broad range of technologies including Microsoft 365, FileNet, Microsoft SharePoint, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL server, .NET framework, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, IIS, and Active Directory
  • 8-15 years of Information Technology experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading or key participant in enterprise system deployments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field preferred
  • Must have demonstrated past experience in the following competencies: dealing with ambiguity, learning on the fly, creativity, innovation management, time management, problem solving, action oriented, customer focus, informing others, motivating others, organizing, and priority-setting
