About The Role

Develop, implement and monitor policies related to the environment with the aim of meeting all legal standards and striving for an environmentally friendly work environment.

Ontwikkelen, implementeren en opvolgen van het beleid met betrekking tot milieu en energie met als doel te voldoen aan alle wettelijke normen en te streven naar een milieu- en energievriendelijke werkomgeving.

Your responsibilities

Prepare the overall environmental policy plan and annual action plan for the Plant.

Detect environmental problem areas and adjust existing or develop new procedures, processes and rules to promote the environment.

Monitor compliance with environmental legislation by conducting regular measurements and inspections at the workplace according to established procedures.

Coordinate waste management (hazardous waste, packaging waste, waste water, etc.) and advise on how to further reduce waste where possible.

Prepare the legally required documents and reports on environment and waste management and where necessary provide these to the appropriate authorities.

Actively stimulate the awareness of corporate social responsibility within and outside the organization and take the necessary initiatives in this context (management reviews, certificates, etc.).

Actively stimulate energy-conscious thinking and action within the organization, coordinate the implementation and continuous optimization of an energy management system in accordance with ISO 50001 and report on this internally as well as externally.

Keeping oneselve continuously informed of legislation and developments in the field of environment and waste management.

Opstellen van het globaal milieubeleidsplan en jaaractieplan voor de Plant.

Detecteren van probleemgebieden inzake milieu en aanpassen van bestaande of ontwikkelen van nieuwe procedures, processen en regels ter bevordering van het milieu.

Waken over de naleving van de milieuwetgeving door regelmatige metingen en inspecties volgens vastgelegde procedures uit te voeren op de werkplaats.

Coördineren van het afvalbeheer (gevaarlijk afval, verpakkingsafval, afvalwater,...) en adviseren hoe afval waar mogelijk verder gereduceerd kan worden.

Opstellen van de wettelijke vereiste documenten en verslagen inzake milieu en afvalbeheer en waar nodig deze bezorgen aan de juiste instanties.

Actief stimuleren van het bewustzijn van ‘maatschappelijk verantwoord duurzaam ondernemen’ binnen en buiten de organisatie en in dit kader de nodige initiatieven nemen (management reviews, certificaten,...).

Actief stimuleren van een milieu- en energiebewust denken en handelen binnen de organisatie, coördineren van de implementatie en continue optimalisatie van het milieu- en energiemanagementsysteem conform de ISO-normen en hierover intern alsook extern rapporteren.

Zichzelf voortdurend op de hoogte houden van de wetgeving en de evoluties op het gebied van milieu en afvalbeheer.
