ETCS Subsystem Designer | Brussel

Responsibilities

As ETCS Subsystem Designer, you will be responsible for the ETCS L2 technical solution. We expect from you a strong expertise in ETCS sub-system L2 and V cycle for SIL-4 projects , with the purpose of defining project requirements and subsystem architectures. You will be involved in customer meetings, where you will be responsible for supporting our project managers to meet the technical project objectives.

Main tasks

• Analyse, review, evaluate ETCS system requirements specifications.
• Define subsystem procedures
• Produce technical ETCS sub-system documentation (Manuals, Design…)
• Analyse, review, evaluate Customer requirements
• Interface with the project manager and customer on a technical level
• Define Project Requirements
• Define project architecture and functionalities
• Support the system site integration and commissioning works
• Support the validation and approval works
• Keeping a strong link with the Product Technical Engineer, the ETCS Design Engineers, On site Engineer, the Data preparation Engineer, the Safety Engineer, the Validation Engineer and the Specific Application Engineer.

Very important is that you have

• Demonstrated experience in ETCS Level 2 trackside design
• Experience of applying CENELEC SIL4 processes

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering
• Min. 3 to 5 years in System Design Engineering
• Demonstrated experience in ETCS Level 2 trackside design of several years
• A full proficient use of English is mandatory to be able to produce documents.
