Make your mark for patients
We are looking for a Congress and Event Leadwho is keen to join our EU Rheumatology team, based in ourheadquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
It would also be feasible to work from alternative offices across Europe, e.g. from Colombes (France), Monheim (Germany), Slough (UK), Milan (Italy) and Madrid (Spain).
About the role
In this role, you will be driving operations and logistics around key rheumatology events. You will be in charge of the internal project management for congresses and events, ensuring a specific project plan is in place ahead of the event, and following up on timelines and deliverables with UCB cross-functional teams.
Who you’ll work with
You will partner with your colleagues from the marketing and medical operational teams to define what success looks like for specific events. Also, you will lead partnerships and collaboration with external third parties within and around European congresses and events, with input from cross-functional teams in terms of detailing specific partnership elements and providing specific deliverables.
What you’ll do
- Lead congress overall project management, with detailed project plan elaboration and follow-up, including internal and external timelines and coordination of cross-functional team
- Lead sourcing, operations and logistics for all aspects of congress and event execution in consistency with event objectives and KPIs (including on-site visit ahead of congresses)
- Lead communication to maximize attendance to events and ensure the best customer experience
- Collect feedback and insights alongside congress and event organization, to measure impact and ensure continuous learning on what shapes the best customer experience
- Share best practices, learnings and insights with peers across the organization to generate economies of scope over time
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the followingeducation, experienceandskills
- Bachelor’s degree required
- +4 years of healthcare congress and event planning and execution, including international congresses/ large events
- Experience managing external agencies and scientific communities
- Experience working in an international setting with multiple countries and functions
- Experience in terms of omnichannel engagement strategies around events
- Effective communication and presentation skills including mastery of the English language
