Field Engineer ( mandatory Dutch & English )

We are looking for an enthusiastic Regional Field Engineer based in Denderleeuw (Belgium) , for maintaining and supporting the regional IT solutions in close interaction with the regional business and direct coordination with the other IT specialists/ departments.

Main purpose of this role is to ensure that the functionality of regional IT solutions fulfill the business needs.

You will primarily work from our regional headquarters in Denderleeuw; however you will regularly visit the different production & depot sites situated all over Belgium.

You’ll work in close cooperation with the other Corporate IT specialists (Service Delivery Management, Global Support Desk, IT infrastructure teams) within the IT Group, with external consultants and with (local) business teams at the different productions sites.

Responsibilities

Your duties as Regional Field Engineer include inspecting and installing equipment and new technologies, directing crews or workers on site, conducting research, and reporting on project status.

You will make sure that everything works smoothly and engineering designs are being followed.

Your duties will consist of the following responsibilities:

o Managing, improving and changing IT solutions, more specific:

o You offer hands-on IT Support in region/on sites

o You manage regional contracts

o You serve as the interface between Global Support Desk and IT Engineers

o You handle incidents & changes in the region

o You address business requests and interface with IT pillars

o You’ll work on improving relation between business & available IT services

o You help & support IT projects in region

o You’ll involve/liaison with Service Delivery Management

o You share knowledge sharing in ServiceNow and with the Global Support Desk

o You will provide service & Support on local IT matters

o You’ll Initiate improvement projects based on analysis and guiding new implementations

o Drive projects, changes and knowledge transfer, more specific:

o Organizing training sessions, workshops and setting up internal knowledge centers.

o You’ll offer pre- and post-go-live support of projects.

o SOx compliance

o You adhere to company policies and processes including change control, security, corporate policies, and Sarbanes Oxley 404

In summary, the Regional Field Engineer’s mission is to focus on providing business continuity through core pillar systems availability management, life cycle management, patch management, monitoring and data recovery. Collaborate with other teams and vendors, reinvent and automate processes and as sure rapid incident resolutions.

Qualifications

• You have a Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science, Technical or related
• You have 5-10 years of experience in an IT position, preferably in industry
• You’re flexible in travelling
• Having good communication skills in both Dutch and English is a must.
• You have extensive knowledge of used systems & applications, ERP system knowledge, Prince II foundation
