Finance Systems Manager

The role of Finance Systems Manager in Napoleon is to help identify and design integrated finance system solutions which help meet organisational needs by facilitating better and more informed decisions.

This is a new key role in our expanding finance department. As a Finance Systems Manager, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance and development of the organisation’s existing core finance systems. You will review and maintain system roles and account administration. In your role, you will also act as project lead on the identification of suitable new systems which enhance the performance of finance as well their implementation and successful roll-out to end users.

Your role

Although there is a degree of freedom in shaping your role together with your Manager, as aFinance Systems manager, you can expect to:

  • Liaise with external software providers and internal IT teams regarding technical problems and their resolution;
  • Act as a custodian of the chart of accounts (COA) hierarchies to maintain integrity of all reporting
  • Management of system upgrades and new releases, including the co-ordination of implementation, user acceptance testing, sign-off and go-live of Finance systems.
  • Ensure data (financial and other) to/from other central business systems links in smoothly and as expected. This requires an understanding of other central systems and how they interact with the finance systems;
  • Lead the finance continuous workstream initiatives by identifying opportunities for new features or reporting and work with the functional and development teams to define, test and deploy the new requirement
  • Provision of training and support to users of the finance systems and reporting tools, including the development of training guides and provision of training courses;
  • Liaise with auditors on system processes and controls;
  • Key stakeholder in the scoping and implementation of new procurement and consolidation tools

Your Profile

  • Proven work experience of at least 5 years working with an integrated accounting system, in a large organisation, or in a relevant systems administration role;
  • Excellent IT skills compatible with the nature and requirements of the role;
  • High level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Good written and oral communication skills inEnglish, Dutch an advantage
  • You have the ability to set up priorities and complete tasks to schedule and results focussed.
  • Experience of Microsoft Business Central or Tagetik is helpful but not essential
