For an international company active in the retail sector and located in Wevelgem, we’re looking for a Financial & Business Controller to complete the finance team.

Your tasks as Financial & Business Controller:

50% Financial:

  • Together with the senior accountant you are responsible for the monthly closing activities and management reporting of one entity (P&L report, variance-analysis, HR)
  • For this entity you are responsible for customer credit management and payments
  • You help with the preparation of the budget
  • You report to the Finance Manager

50% Business

  • You actively cooperate in setting up new business processes
  • You support the maintenance of processes within the ERP system (eg: improve expense note system)
  • You technically support colleagues and share best practices with them
  • You report to group CEO (BI reporting)

The ideal profile:

  • You have a master’s degree in economics
  • You started your career in auditing but already have a first experience as a Controller within a company
  • Experience in a ’Big 4’-company is a plus
  • You are IT-minded and have a good knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • You are driven, stress resistant, hands-on and problem solving
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
  • Willing to travel abroad (min 1day/month)
