Financial Controller

The Job

The financial controller at Septentrio is a key player to our accurate financial management. They support strategic financial planning and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Your Mission

In this role, you will be responsible for generating periodic management reports, conducting thorough financial analysis for management purposes. This includes performing cost variance analysis, profitability assessments, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the organization remains on track with its financial goals.

You will develop and oversee the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensuring they are aligned with the organization’s objectives and financial targets.

Another aspect of this role is enhancing and maintaining financial reporting models and processes. You will work to ensure these models and processes are accurate, efficient, and relevant, providing a solid foundation for the organization’s financial reporting needs.

You’ll also provide support to the accounting team. You will assist in various areas, including monthly closing activities, managing customer payment terms, and facilitating statutory and project audits. Your support will help ensure the accounting team can operate smoothly and effectively.

You will work closely with the Supply Chain team to execute the quarterly material costing cycle effectively. This collaboration will ensure that the costing cycle is accurate, and that the organization can make informed decisions based on reliable cost data.

You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for improving financial processes, with an emphasis on internal controls and efficiency. Finally, you will contribute to the implementation of CSRD-ESG evaluations, measurements, and reporting.

Your Qualifications

You have a master’s degree in finance, economics, business management, or a related field. You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in controlling or audit roles, with experience in a production environment being a valuable asset. Fluency in both English and Dutch is required.

You possess excellent proficiency in SAP and Excel, with experience in PowerBI being an asset. Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail are essential for this role.

Additionally, you should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, fostering collaboration and alignment.
