Gas Injection in Liquid Expert

You will join the ALTEC team, which stands for Air Liquide Technical Excellence Center. Typically for Gas in Liquid applications, the offer will not only bring a solution to the customer needs but also carbon and emissions savings, fully aligned with Air Liquides goals as described in our new 2025 strategic plan for a comprehensive performance :”ADVANCE, inventing a sustainable future’.

The mission of ALTEC experts can be grouped in 5 main topics:

1. CUSTOMER: Support Sales Reps & Business Developers to sell better & more

• The key mission is to support the Market Unit Sales Representatives in creating value for the customers. For technically complex projects ALTEC plays a central role in the sales & value creation process.
• Training sales representatives to allow the identification of customer needs and the proposal of differentiating offers.
• To be able to fulfill this mission, ALTEC needs to be close to the customer and be able to fulfill the need of high reactivity and speed.

2. INDUSTRIALIZATION: deliver best existing solution to customers in all geographies

• Help to industrialize equipment prototype in compliance with different constraints such as safety, IMS (Industrial Management System), local regulations, competitiveness (cost efficiency). Reduce time to market for the new solutions.

3. INNOVATE: assure leadership in application know how

• ALTEC takes an active role in the creation and design of new applications from R&D programs.

4. COMMUNICATING & COMMUNITY: make knowledge available

• With it’s supranational scope, ALTEC has a privileged position to foster internal communication and building application communities

5. ENSURE AND BUILD EXPERTISE: manage knowhow and develop people

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

As an Altec expert, you will be supporting the sales opportunities involving application expertise both at existing Air Liquide and new customers.

Area of expertise:

Waste Water Treatment involving the use or deployment of industrial gases and related injection equipment for gas injection in liquid, typically the use of O 2 for biological boosting, O 3 for Sludge treatment, Hard COD removal, filamentous bacteria containment, micropollutants removal, CO 2 for pH neutralization, …

Water treatment : CO 2 used on cooling towers, CO 2 to prevent scaling of RO membranes,… .

Outside of the Waste Water Treatment:Technology support and development of the oxygen management for the beverage industry, the use of gasses on the biodigesters, inertization of storage (dried sludges) in WTP, Aquaculture, Aquaponics, Hydroponics, ...

WHAT ARE THE EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS?

If you have a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering or Bioengineering , you already have the basics to apply for this job!

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of proven experience in engineering & process technology in Chemistry / Water treatment Industry. Good working knowledge relating to Wastewater or Water treatment processes. Chemistry or/and biology holds no secrets for you !

Ability to convince & Influence: Based on your technical expertise, your empathy & commercial sense, you will have to influence the customer’s decision

• Autonomous & proactive : You take ownership & make things happen

• You must like going to customer sites to implement the solutions you have developed. You will support the project engineers of the subsidiaries

• Customer Service Skills : You will need to translate client requirements into practical term that can be successfully implemented.

• Good teamwork skills with Transversal overview

• Eager to learn & share your knowledge

Languages English. French or/and Dutch is a plus
