工作内容

The General Ledger Accountant is responsible to manage the critical elements of the company’s financial accounting and reporting systems for one or more legal entities of the group. Main areas of responsibility include general ledger accounting and treasury management. The General Ledger Accountant will report to the Accounting, Tax and Consolidation Manager and indirectly to our senior management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performs monthly general ledger functions, including journal entry posting, in accordance with closing procedures and within the agreed deadlines;
  • Prepares and reviews various balance sheet Reconciliations (including cash, current accounts and resolving outstanding items);
  • Prepares legal and statutory requirements (e.g. annual accounts, VAT declarations, Income Tax declarations,…), as well as preparation of internal and external audits;
  • Leads closing process improvement & digitalization initiatives
  • Supports the Business Controller in preparation of the budget and forecast; and
  • Prepares standard and ad-hoc financial analysis;

Strong affinity with IT and knowledge of IT Tools, such as ERP (e.g. Oracle), PowerBi, RPA, etc.

Continuous improvement mindset;

Prior experience running closing processes is a must have.

PROFIEL

Education: Master or Bachelor degree in accounting or equivalent.

Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience (e.g. monthly closing processes, working with financial applications/processes, working on the digitalization of the accounting/closing process (including but not limited to RPAs), preparation of annual accounts,…)

Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch, both spoken and written
